I started a new knitting project today.  I'm making a red scarf using Lionbrand Homtown yarn, Cincinnati Red.  It is a very chunky yarn so I'm using size 15 bamboo knitting needles.  I'm also using this One Row Handspun Scarf pattern from Yarn Harlot.  I only cast on 18 stitches because the yarn is so thick.

Sorry for the bad pictures, but I broke my digital camera.

-- What book are you currently reading?
Wicked Game by Jeri Smith-Ready

-- How far in are you?
almost finished

-- What's it about?
... somewhat taken from the back cover, because I have always hated book reports.

It is about con artisit, Ciara Griffin, trying to live a straight life.  She get a job at a local radio station,  where the late-night shows feature the 40's, 60's, 80's, etc with an authentic flair.  Ciara discovers that they DJs are vampires forever stuck in the eras in which they were turned.  The station is in danger of being bought out and without the link the station provides to their life time, the DJs will become mindless ghosts of the past.  Ciara devises a con hiding the DJs vampire nature in plain sight by rebranding the station as "WVMP, the Lifeblood of Rock 'n Roll".  The gimmick enrages a posse of ancient, powerful vampires who aren't so eager to be brought into the light.

-- Are you enjoying it?
Actually it is a pretty good read, a different take on the life of a vampire.
