I really did not plan on getting this game, but my hubby (sweetheart that he is) bought it for my because he thought I had to have it. Since my hubby spent an arm and leg (the collectors edition - he thought I would get a kick out of the plumbbob flash drive) on getting it for me, I figured I should install it and test it out. I can honestly say I will NOT be uninstalling my Sims 2; I love my sims from it way to much, and not to mention I finally have a neighborhood I really enjoy playing and building.
I have been playing it almost all day. There are a few things I like, the traits, the jogging and biking around town, the customization of everything, and insane trait (it cracks me up). The actual sims still freak me out, the sliders in CAS are ANNOYING, the camera makes me dizzy, the shawdows bug me (I think I need a better graphics card), and to me it seems like the time goes really slow when they are at work or sleeping (stuff like that). I have not tried building a house yet.
